A Feature on Synacy

“Cebu is the ideal place to open Synacy,” said Synacy CEO Rhett Jones.

In a recent interview for Cebu Business Guide, Rhett Jones talked about the beginnings of Synacy and why he chose Cebu to open up its headquarters.

“I decided that the combination of English proficiency level, the relative safety of Cebu, there’s not much pollution and traffic, I think that’s a good compromise. I met some other friends here that were operating here who also had successful operations here and so that kind of encouraged me to come here,” he said.

According to him, setting up a business in Cebu can be a bit challenging and a lot harder compared to Singapore and Australia. But the benefits and assistance being given by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has encouraged him to start the business here.

 

What is Synacy?

Synacy is a young innovative company that builds products and support services for companies such as UTBox and Monopond, both owned and managed by Rhett Jones. Synacy continues its search for new talents in software programming and development. Apart from hiring software techies, Synacy is also looking for web developers, graphic designers and admin staff.

“I intend to hire 80 people. I’ve got so many other ideas that I want to build and I also would love to get involved in other people’s good ideas as a co-founder or an accelerator,” he said.
