Working thoughts from Team Leader, Franco
I am Franco Sioquim, a computer engineer, and I do almost everything, from designing circuits to building web applications. Here at Synacy, I’m managing a web development team and also doing some coding with them. As team lead, I’m engaged with several responsibilities of my team like design, digital marketing, social networks, and web development.
The desire to build something cool, out-of-the-box and new really caught my attention since these are the things that excites me as well. Their great benefits such as free food is a plus.
My expectations in joining the company are very basic: friendly environment, people sharing their knowledge, company benefits plus free food and most of all, everyone does their job well. I’m more into what I can do in this company that can make a difference rather than expecting a lot of things that I can get for myself.
As a general rule, everyone leaves their previous job because the new one is always better. My main reason is to improve my design, programming, and even my digital marketing skills. I worked previously on a Japanese company and now, Australian. I cannot judge which one is better in terms of company culture but both have their own advantages.
I had a good number of achievements on my first job which I started as a fresh graduate. On the first year of my working career, I had a really good evaluation result, I was engaged in several projects, and probably the most significant achievement is that I created my own PHP framework. Another great achievement is that I designed an ROV control system. It’s fun if you’re doing something you really like.
On the more personal side, I just got married with my beautiful and amazing wife this year. It’s an achievement for both of us, not only for myself. I was blessed with many opportunities and I honor God by doing my job well and with an uncompromising attitude.
