Life as an Intern: Sheena Cabadon
Sheena Cabadon lives in Silay City, Negros Occidental and she loves reading ebooks, playing the guitar and playing Candy Crush. Sheena has learned a lot for the past five months of her internship at Synacy. It made her realize the difference between school and work, and she considered herself lucky to be one of the chosen few to work here at Synacy.
How did the PN course help you?
PN gave me the knowledge on how the course on Information Technology is essential to us. IT would be the last thing to take up but PN made me realize that knowledge in IT lasts a lifetime since technology will evolve forever. The PN course also helped me get exposed to different aspects of business, on how to be professional, to deal with circumstances and to adapt to the environment.
What were your other choices for internship?
My other choices were Timex, WebXpress and Teradyne.
What are the parts you are enjoying for internship with Synacy?
Aside from the free drinks, I am enjoying the flow of our internship here at Synacy. We were taught new things and we are engaged to a field of our choice. I’m also enjoying the activities held by the company. The employees are approachable and the facilities are suited to the needs of the employees.
What would you improve for your internship with Synacy?
I would focus more on the tasks given to me. I know that it’s just a one-time opportunity to be an intern here that’s why I would give my best in exerting more effort and be more focused in everything I do.
What have you gained so far?
I have gained knowledge not taught in school. As a support representative, I learned how to deal with customers and to answer their queries.
What are you hoping to achieve with it/take away from the internship?
After my internship, I’m hoping that my learnings would be quite enough to do my tasks effectively. I also hope to realize the field I love and apply those learnings to the field I choose.
Would you recommend synacy as an internship and why?
Yes, I would recommend Synacy as an internship. I can say that employees here are highly accommodated based on the benefits, facilities and working areas. As the first batch of PN interns here in Synacy, we were not taken for granted. The company has set plans for us to achieve in a span of time. Synacy is not only good in training us but also the staff here are very friendly.
